For the antique enthusiast, come collector, Antique fairs are an Aladdin´s Cave. With so much variety and interest for the collector, you never know what you might find.

Of course when the weather is fine it makes a very pleasant day out as many of the Fairs are set in some beautiful historic settings and countryside. Country houses or parks are popular as are Showground´s and Racecourses. There is usually plenty of interest for the family and on a warm sunny day it´s a good idea to take a picnic. Of course food and drink can be bought on site at the bigger fairs.

The real enthusiast won´t worry about the weather and will come quite prepared to trudge around looking for that bargain. Don´t be put off initially by the price, if you are interested in something, speak to the seller as he will always drop a little, say 10% off the asking price and do ask what his trade price is. With some good bargaining you can get what you want at a price both the seller and buyer are happy with.
